How to keep balayage looking fresh
Colour-safe washing, heat protection and when to book your gloss.
Balayage is designed to grow out softly, but it still needs care. Wash with a sulfate-free shampoo two or three times a week, and use cool water to keep the cuticle closed and the tone bright.
Protect from heat
Lightened hair is more porous. Use a heat protectant or oil before every blow-dry and lower the temperature of your tools.
Book a gloss
A gloss every eight to ten weeks refreshes the tone and adds shine without a full colour service.
